Green Gothic
Taken by Sergio Arrangoiz

1.- Templo Expiatorio's back facade, in Guadalajara, Jalisco. I like this shot because it depicts a new prespective of the very well known Templo Expiatorio. In the image, nature and architectural beauty friendly coexist. Gothic elements of the building can easily be identified. I see line and contrast in te photo. The image is shared in the original version.

The Great Organ

Taken by Sergio Arrangoiz

2.- Templo Expiatorio's interior. A photoshop version, the image has great movement, line, color and harmony. The big organ is emerging from the right-low corner, showing its magesty to all who visit the temple. The rosette, pointed arches and curious light makes the place definitely gothic. I like the shot very much because the place is seen from a whole new point of view.

Medieval Mass.

3.- Mass in the Cathedral. Exacly the moment the priest was making the consecration, this shot was taken. I loved this image because of the quiet, peaceful scene it depicts. It looks like a Miedieval's Sunday Mass.  The  greatly ornamented ambulatory shows everyone the big power Catholic Church still has, and invites you to submission, pray and Repentance. The photo has symetry and harmony.

Water and Culture

4.- Teatro Degollado, in Guadalajara. Firmly standing, the teatro Degollado is shown in this pic. The image has symetry and balance. It's quite nice because of the fountain, the green trees and the architectural beauty all in one shot. One of the most beautiful neoclassical buildings inthe city, and house of culture, art and knowledge.

Flower surrounded by modernity.

Taken by Sergio Arrangoiz

Puerta de Hierro neighborhood, in Guadalajara, Mexico. I loved this image for the presence of both nature and modernity in the same pic. The flowers zoomed are part of the Andares gardens, and the buildings in the background are some of the most modern ones that the city has. I like not only the photo itself but also what the image means: there is, besides traditional buildings, money and modernity in this city too.

I take these two photos in Madison, the first one has the focus on the popcorn sign, that's why I like it and there is a line that forms with poles on the street, from one corner to the center of the picture, the second picture was token in a coffee shop, I think it has harmony.

These three photos were taken in Chicago, I take the first one from the stairs of the field museum and there is a line in the horizont, the second one... I dont remember in what street I was... I like it because of the lights of the cars going trought the street and the churche in the back, also I think it is an important element the post emergency, the third one is the John Hancock Center I like because it gives you the impression that you are small and the bulding is so tall that in one point the fog covers the building, the architecture is also amazing the crossbars shows that is modern.

These three pictures were taken in Careyes Beach, the resort remains true the architecture of Costa Careyes, boasting a bold palette of terracotta tones that blends harmoniously with the surrounding nature's azures and greens, the first one is a bottle of wine :), I just like it, the second one is in the balcony of a room where you can se the architecture and the third one, I take that in new years eve, the firework shows movement and explosion.

Muñecas de Trapo

Muñecas de Trapo” is one of the most popular toys in Mexico and is made and embroidered by native people of Chiapas, Mexico; the raw material of the doll is blanket and ribbon. For centuries, the artisanal toy occupied a central role among children; over many generations Mexicans we have fun and we have developed skills, abilities, we have challenged the luck and we have created our own worlds through toys. In this edited image we can appreciate the different varieties of color that de dolls have, the texture of the door, and also exists a great movement and rhythm between the dolls. This piece of work has sequence of elements and principles that create something special in Mexican crafts

Teatro Juárez

Teatro Juarez in Guanajuato is a historic theater that dates from the late nineteenth century located in the Mexican city of Guanajuato in the state of the same name in Mexico. The enclosure was built from 1872 to 1903 by the architect José Noriega, the general manager Florencio Antillón subsequently killed by the Mexican architect and engineer Antonio Rivas Alberto Malo. Who made several renovations which have completely changed its original appearance both exterior and interior.

The building is one of the most renowned historic theaters. His period of greatest growth occurred in the late nineteenth century until the outbreak of war in the Mexican Revolution in the early twentieth century, remains an important forum for artistic activity where there were famous exponents of the time. The theater is named in honor of the political and intellectual liberal Benito Juarez.
The Teatro Juárez has hosted the International Cervantes Festival, s
ince 1972.
One of the elements of art that I found in this type of architecture are texture, shape and space and the principals are harmony and gradation.

Castillo de santa cecilia

Alhóndiga de Granaditas
A little way north of Templo de Belém there is the Alhóndiga de Granaditas, built in 1799 and originally a granary. Thereafter it was used as a prison and a fort, the gate of which was blown up by "El Pípila", Guanajuato's folk hero. It now houses the Museum of Mexican Independence (Museo de la Independencia Mexicana), which contains archaeological and ethnological material as well as historical relics and silver-mining and tipical  souvenirs

Antigua Parroquia de Guanajuato

The Former parish of Guanajuato until 1957, where he rose to the rank of Basilica. Its construction began in 1771 and was completed in 1796, covering all costs instead miners. In the latter year was the temple image of Our Lady of Guanajuato, where it remains today. Located in the so-called Temple of the hospitals, which then served as a parish. It has three doors,  each door holds a pink stone of the baroque mannerist overhanging the main facade, on which stands a bell tower with three bodies from the same era and style of the building, plus the cube clock tower can be seen below another proportions and beautiful style Churrigueresque from the 18th century.
